Snow House

During the first week of my semester in Lille, there was a flea market which took place throughout the city, called La Braderie. One of the stalls was held inside a church not far from where I lived. Inside rows of tables with old books covering all topics imaginable, from fiction to science, full of vivid images (I picked one up called La Terre (the earth) which had a particularly inspiring range of photos), and there were a few boxes of old postcards. So I bought about 10 of them and have been using them in collages ever since. I chose to embroider this card (as well as the one in the previous post) because of the wintry theme. Snow 1Snow 3
