Hello! I am a journalist inspired by all things art and culture. Occasionally I like to indulge in a bit of making and creating – usually collages and stitched mixed media pieces – which I like to share on this blog. You’ll also find posts about artists and pop culture phenomena which have caught my eye.

A little bit about this blog: I began it in 2015 after I had finished my A Levels, it was mainly as a response to reading Rookie Mag (now defunct). Although some of the writing is questionable, I have never deleted any posts as I think this blog serves as an ongoing sketchbook of ideas / a digital mind-map.

And a little bit about me: I have a degree in French and German, during my time at University I hosted my own radio show, wrote reviews for the online magazine The State of the Arts and became the Features Editor and Design Editor for the student paper, The Mancunion. I received a highly commended award at the SPA awards for my interview with Rosy Candlin about period poverty. I co-wrote a blog with a friend, Groovier Times Are Ahead, which explored all things groovy. I’m currently completing my NCTJ in Manchester.

I hope you enjoy visiting this blog!

      1. Well I need you to pick a peice and just answer a few questions about it if that’s ok? It shouldn’t take long, the questions are:
        Brilliant
I just need a little bit more information if that’s ok? The questions are:
Why the picture? (If you could pick a picture that would be amazing)
Where did the idea come from?
Why does this picture mean so much to you?
What more can you tell us about your art?
        Thank you
Could I also have your Instagram account so I can attach it to the page, thank you
